| hmmmm....sounds like something fishy...in safe mode those files should NOT be active and you should be able to delete them... I notice, though, that the folder you are referring to seems to be "appdata"...I'm thinking this is a system folder and should not be deleted...try instead to delete just the files...

| the word roaming makes me wonder also....I've never seen that as far as I remember, but then again 1) I don't use explorer to move through my directories and 2)I'm sticking with XP until something past Vista comes out (I think of Vista=Me..bleh)... here's something to try....boot into safe mode without networking...beyond that I'm stumped..
