Hi Anne,
The LimeWire.jar file is under C:\Program Files\LimeWire, not under the root subdirectory. You double-clicked on that (not one of the other many .jar files) and nothing happened?
Hrmph.
Have you gone in Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs, uninstalled Java, gone to java.com & reinstalled it?
There's not much else I can do to troubleshoot this right now. We'll try to build a more debuggable version of LimeWireDebug.exe to trace exactly what's going wrong. We'll have that ready sometime late tomorrow.
Also --
Do you happen to have a file called "launch.properties" in your C:\Program Files\LimeWire directory? If so, delete it and try launching LimeWire again. If not, we'll have to wait for the newer LimeWireDebug. |
