Also if you don't have a great connection you shuld disable Uptrapeer capabilities within Speed options.

Also don't use the Resume function on all your files to continue them after you start LW. This has side FX such as affecting LW's connection quality & using up all of LW's resources (& your computers.)

Set your downlds to Autoclear. Close LW windows you're not using at that time (eg: Monitor, Library & connection windows.) Delete old search results that are more than a few hours old.

After opening LW, let it settle! Let it sit for 15 to 20 mins or more. During this time it is loading both incomplete & shared files and is trying to connect with each individual incomplete file. This can take a while depending on how many incomplete & shared files you have.

Here's some hints: A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities.
