![]() my limewire keeps opening itself up also but i don't seem to have a virus as far as i can see is there anyone who might know why this is happening and what i can do to stop it from opening itself thanks for any help you can offer |

![]() Double check that you don't have LW set to run on system startup (tools > options > advanced > system startup. Untick 'run on system startup' & apply). Just because you can't see a virus, doesn't mean that it's not there. ![]() My install of limewire is exiting whenever I click on any file and try to download it, this is really starting to annoy me so I am currently doing a virus scan with Mcafee that was provided by comcast, my isp. Does anyone have any idea what needs to be done to stop this? First some darn annoying program started upon login to my account and now this crap. The program was called wmedia.exe and I found it running in my task manager, ended it then deleted the files associated with it. |
