Trying to upgrade Lime Wire Pro Free I purchased LimeWire pro less than 6 months ago. I am trying to update it free. It won't accept my email address when. How do I contact someone for support. |
Are you trying through the website or from your confirmation e-mail and how much did you pay for pro? |
I tryed to update to Limewire Pro through the web site and they want more money. When I try through my confirmation, it won't accept my user name. I paid $45.04 which includes Lifetime Full & Unlimited Access ($20.21) + Pro Version Upgrade- Movie Codec Pack ($14.95) + Net Spy Protection ($9.88). I tried to contact them at bug@limewire.com. |
Sorry dixiecup, you have been scammed. This link has a huge number of posts on the subject. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=40161 Limewire is a vailable from www.limewire.com The basic version is free and the pro version is 18.88$US You paid for it through another site, and it would be interesting to know which one. It may be too late to get you money back through your credit company who usually protect their cusstmers againdst fraud, but you should approach the site that sold you this pile of stuf and try to sort something out with them. Unless you pay through the Limewire site, your purchase id is, I am affraid worthless. Limewire pro will not reply to those who are not bona fide pro customers. |
Scammed Dear Dixiecup Let me explain what you have done: Unfortunately for you, you have gone to a scam site and got yourself ripped off. You said: I paid $45.04 which includes Lifetime Full & Unlimited Access ($20.21) + Pro Version Limewire Basic is free and Limewire Pro costs $18.88, for that you get 6 months worth of tech support and 6 months worth of updates/upgrades from the following official site: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml Note, as LW does not offer membership of any sort the "Lifetime" club you have joined does not exist. You also said: Movie Codec Pack ($14.95) + Net Spy Protection ($9.88). Well, movie codec packs, such as Nimo, are free and Net Spy Protection is probably a bogus anti spyware pack. Normally I would advise you to contact your credit card company, inform them that you have been defrauded, and get your money back. However, as you have been living quite happily with your non-products for six months you CC is unlikely to offer you a refund, but you should still try. Now you know why they (the bogus scam site) won't answer your emails, i.e. they have your money and they want nothing further to do with you. UK Bob PS. Check your credit card statements for small monthly deductions, you could still be paying subscription fees for membership of your non-existent club. |
Bob, we've got to stop meeting like this. What I don't understand is these people are trying to get something for free or cheap and they are paying money out with out thinking in order to do it. I give up:confused:    |
Hobo I totally agree with you, it seems that more and more people just like to throw their money away without checking, or looking at, what they are actually doing:( . Pity they don't throw some of ithis free cash in our direction.;) Anyway, you pipped me at the post and, for that, I owe you a glass of champaign:D . See you UK Bob |
Cheers Bob that tasted good. I can afford my own though. I'm doing very well with my website www. isellallsortsofapplicationstopeopleforlotsofmoneyw hentheycoulgethemforfree .com or the sister site: scamsrus Fancy a partnership :D |
