Lord of the Rings has a distinguished reputation

Do both steps 1 & 2 here: Fixes for Limewire which means deleting the LW preferences folder (sample image at bottom of linked page), & reinstalling Java but using the "Offline" java installer instead of the online installer. See how that goes.
