Yeah, there is.......delete the Limewire preference folder when LW is completely closed (i.e. also in the system tray) as explained here:

Its not workin deleting that folder is just like restoring your default and having to put everything back in and everything is just the same.
Am i gonna have to download all my songs all over again?

The deletion of the preference folder is meant to exclude its possible corruption as one of the causes.
However, when reading your first post and what you've written now, I understand your problem slightly different.
What you're sayin' is that the song you've previously downloaded show up as "red" files when you look at them via LW>Library>Shared (or where ever you put the downloaded files?!!
Did you go to this folder and open those files directly from that folder (rather than using the LW player)??
If so and they are still there in full size, then move them all to a different folder and add this folder via LW to the shared folders.

this is all confusing. I have just been redownloading every single one of my songs but my prob was that every single one of my songs were showin in the saved file and audio file and i could play them but in the shared file there was nothin i tried goin back and retypin in the shared file i wanted did not work i deleted my preferances that didnt work oh yeah and in that little box at the bottom it showed zero
