Random Start Up

I have LimeWire Pro 4.12.6.

It always starts up without me starting it. Even when I have LimeWire open it will open up again all by itself. When I exit out within seconds it will just start back up again.

What is going on?

Without having to read all of that, what can I do to get rid of it?

foolofthehill January 11th, 2007 09:06 PM

If you had bothered to read the first post of LOTR then you would have come across this link:

As for your question, if you're to lazy to read, then I reckon getting help from somewhere else !!

Pretty uptight are we?

Better yet, if you don't like my laziness, then please, don't reply to me.

No up-right,.....but straight forward !!

Replying to threads I do voluntarily, even to such as yours,........the second link I gave you may hold the resolution to your problem.....if not, then you'll have to visit Norbies World as described in the first link of LOTR.....

Cheers

Well for some reason when I click control, alt, delete nothing happens.

I dont know how to reboot in safe mode either.

foolofthehill January 11th, 2007 09:55 PM

The worm seem to prevent you from opening the Task manager.

To get into the Windows 2000 / XP Safe mode, as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key" which should bring up the "Windows Advanced Options Menu". Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.

thanks, ill try it out

WOW! It really did work, thanks so much foolofthehill.

I have to admit, I was a little bit skeptical because sometimes you just never know if you are downloading a good program or some virus that is going to destroy your entire computer but, this really did work. All of my functions are back and working, so, thanks again!

For the future, how can I avoid this problem from happening again?
