 After cleaning both HD's with defrag and a safemode scandisk: Scanned w/SBC Yahoo AV. Nothing. Scanned w/AVG found browser hijack file and several malware files! Scanned w/Mcafee. Nothing. Scanned w/Fix-It Utilities. 932 errors in my registry were repaired! No viruses. 5 malware. Deleted Java v5.0.05 Deleted .limewire Re-installed JRE offline version 6 update 1 (the most recent). Deleted .limewire folder. Still no connection to LW......... I'm not giving up without a fight. Deleted .limewire Downloaded latest LW free version online. Brickwall!!!! ? Feels like I'm up against one. Shut off windows firewall but SBC Yahoo has one built-in. My earlier disk version doesn't have the firewall indicator icon (v4.2.6) I also just learned SBC-Yahoo has purposely but temporarily closed several ports on their customer' computers for security.
