Default Why won't limewire start?

Everytime I try opening limewire the popup of it loading comes up and then when it finishes it just goes away and nothing happens. I then see a little limewire icon at the bottom right corner of my screen on the taskbar but if i put my mouse on it the icon goes away. Can anyone help me?

Some people have had problems with LW not loading, after updating to Java 1.6.0_01. If that's the version you're using, try this one instead. Use the JRE offline installer & remove any old Java versions before installing this one.
Java SE Downloads
If that version seems on good, you could try this earlier one. Again, remove your old Java version before installing a new one.
Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

Otherwise, delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.

Also try changing compatibility (point 5 in the 'fixes' thread).

I also facing same problem, i'm using Java jdk1.6.0_02. Previously when i using Java jdk1.6.0_01, there is no such problem. Below is the error log found inside LimeWire folder, hope developer can fix this issue:

I have java 1.4.2-03 on my office computer and no problems.I am guessing that if someone at my home computer updated it, I will just install this version and see what happens..unless anyone has any other help ideas

LimeWire v4.12.15 PRO is stable w/Java v 5.0_11

We have to wait for a compatible version that works w/Java 6.x_x
