Corrupt installation, limewire gone, internet not working?!!!!!

My computer is driving me nuts I was running critically low on space, so I decided to uninstall limewire to try and make some room. Now my internet is not working properly, which I'm not sure is related (the pages are connected to, and they load, but they are not showing up the way they should, but as a series of links and an occasional image). Was your limewire popping up all the time before you decided to uninstall it ??
