The actual limewire program doesn't have the viruses and malware, it's what the user chooses to download that causes them to get infected...If your a wise p2p user you can avoid them...

That said are you happy with the version you have ??
I would strongly suggest saving the 4.12.11 installer and then give the newer version ago, that way if you don't like it you can re-install the old version again...
