could someone please help me with this, when i start up limewire it goes into the whole upgrade to PRO thing and from then on you cant select anything on that window or change to a new one... this has happened to me hundreds of times, the only way i can close it is by ctrl+alt+del: Task manager. I restart my computer and i reinstall limewire again and again with no results. If anyone could help me out here i will be so grateful of your time.

What version of Java are you using? Try this version. Download the JRE offline installer & remove any other Java versions before you install this one.

If that doesn't help, delete LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will kill all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.

For Vista ... actually I think it may need java 1.6 but not to completely change advice, check options 5 & 6 in Fixes for LW. They also can play a surprisingly major role. Also, try setting up a test account on your computer with admin abilities, then try opening LW from there.

Careful which links you click .. initially the one on top left, then far right on 2nd window.
You can before doing that go to Start menu -> Programs -> LW -> Uninstall.

OH sorry that is the basic version ... but make sure it works ... if so then let us know.

Edit: It is ALWAYS reccommended to delete your LW prefs folder if upgrading to PRO.
