![]() Uninstalling LW via Control Panel is the wrong way to do it & can cause problems. The right way to uninstall LW is via start > all programs > LW > use the uninstall option there. Open Task Manager & check whether there's a LW process running. If there is, end the process. Then use your computer's search to look for all files & folders with limewire in the name & delete what you find. The problem that you had with LW that made you want to uninstall it...was LW restarting all the time & refusing to stay closed? If that's the case, your computer's probably infected (uninstalling LW won't help...you need to get rid of the malware). There are a few different fixes to try in the thread below. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...s-options.html If you're still stuck, try going to one of the help sites listed in that thread. Always make sure that you're using a good AV program. Keep it updated & use it to scan all files that you've downloaded, before you open them. |

![]() actually, i think i deleted something i shouldnt have, the problem was when it was attempting to open, it had a load bar and the limewire logo, it stopped at 19 percent and i had to choose a file to redirect all the downloaded files to...that got really annoying every time i turned on my pc...thanks for the help though, so that means that i have to redownload LW and then uninstall it?...huh... |
