![]() I was working lime wire quite well this morning, all went well, but now in the bottom left corner, the number of 'files you are sharing' is up into tens of thousands, 17,000 when i last looked, it wasnt doing this earlyer, and i checked to make sure it doesn't mean all my computer is pouring over the web, the files showing up are practically everything, films, printing programs, anything, is there something i'm missing here? These files arn't in my computer, although while the files are flicking up, my cpu usage is up at 80-100%! normaly 5 is all i can get out of it. ![]() Did you download any files just before this started happening?? Have you run an AV scan? Update your AV & then scan your computer. Or try an online scan, there are links in the thread below. WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of! Or you can try scanning with AVG Free AV, it seems to find new viruses quite quickly. Make sure to update before you scan. AVG free If that doesn't help, try one of these sites, they offer specialised help for malware problems. ![]() actually, i did, and it didn't work, and it took some trouble to get rid of... i downloaded some new antivirus, so if it happens again (when i reinstall lime wire that is, it would open its self, and i couldnt change the settings, because the window they where in would disapear when a new file was in, so i uninstalled it) But, i went to the FAQ pages, and downloaded some of the recomended apps, and if it happens again, i should be told about it automatic, so thanks, Also, these scans have been showing a few trogans, wich explains the pop-ups i was getting when i wasnt using a Web browser, those are getting deleted, and the amounts are thinning out. Thanks. |
