im guessing i got the virus by downloading zips , claiming they were limewire pro , and they were not ... well things appear to be in order ...
i dont know much about viruses , or what they do or how they work , but im also guessing it stopped me from configuring settings , by closing the options window the second i opened it ...
it was hard to get help , when all these virus threads and posts are from the year 2005 ....
i guess this post is more informative , than asking anything but ,
is the problem over ? i restarted my computer a couple times , and everything seems in order ... but its too early to tell .. a list of my problems is in this thread http://www.gnutellaforums.com/genera...ng-window.html
thanks again | Update your virus definitions and do a full/complete scan and see if this picks up anything -- also do an online scan with one of the antivirus programs listed here by lotr : ( WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of!) Also read through this link it's very informative -- it's never to late to learn good habits. |
