Otherwise System details - help us to help you (click on blue link) ... because it's difficult to 'guess' what your problem is, which seems to be a connection problem, not a program start up problem.

1. Remove all versions of Java, reinstall most recent OFFLINE version. Download Java software from Sun Microsystems

2. Reinstall LW using this version http://www9.limewire.com/download/LimeWireWin-full.exe (no need to uninstall, the installer will do that for you.)

Wow, I have no idea what u did, but the procedure I did to install this limewire you gave a link to I did not change, and now all of a sudden it works!!!! By the way, I noticed that limewire killed itself when I tried to uncheck the boxes that make it so limewire doesn't associate itself with torrent files or magnet files....so I just opened LW again and this time I didn't uncheck those boxes...I just hit next again and it worked!! Whoever the developers are, they might wanna check to see if there is a glitch in those options if you uncheck something...cause that's what caused LW to not work...although that isn't the original cause of what was happening to me earlier. Thanks again!!!!
