Default Can't open limewire (no 'next' or 'finish' buttons)

Looks Like I'm not the only one.

1. OS version? Windows XP
2. What firewalls you have? McAfee
3. How much ram? 1Gb
4. Hard Disk space available? 200GB
5. Connection type? DSL
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? SP660 and Linksys Wireless B
7. Where are you trying to connect from? Home
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? LW - 4.18.8 and Java - 1.6.0_07
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Embarq10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? Your test worked!!
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? No
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. Im an experienced user.
13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? Can't even open limewire

15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? McAfee
16. What country are you living in? USA
17. Has anything in your setup changed recently? NO

I was having problems connecting. I would get a message every time I tried to search that said limewire was connecting to the network. EVERY time. I came to this forum and found the thread where it said to delete the preferences folder. I didn't have a preference folder, so I deleted the limewire folder. I uninstalled and re-installed limewire. When I tried to open limewire it opened the setup wizard, but the finish button was grayed out. When I clicked on the next button iot took me to another screen with no next or finish button. No way to complete the process. I've uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times. I've even done a system restore twice. Nothing works.

HELP! please.

The preferences folder is named LimeWire or .limewire

Try clicking on the bottom of the setup wizard box & dragging it downwards...do the buttons show?

If that doesn't help, try the tips here: setup freezes

Once you've completed the installation, could you please let us know if your connection problem is fixed? Then we'll know whether to move your thread, or leave it here

The first setup wizard screen has buttons. The finish button is grayed out so all you can click is the next button. The next screen has no buttons.

Trying to add a pic of it.

The installation was complete. But limewire won't open. It continues to open the setup wizard.

Did you try the fixes in my other post (dragging the edge of the setup wizard box down & changing font size)?
