![]() Whenever I try to open Limewire I would get a java runtime error telling me to dl java 5.0 or higher. I searched on the forums and took some advice from an old thread that said to uninstall all java and limewire. Then reinstall java and then download limewire. I did all this and now I get an error message when trying to install Java SE Runtime Environment 6u11 that says "Error applying transforms. Verify that specified transform paths are valid." I have no idea as to what that means. Can anyone help?? ![]() |

![]() Try the advice here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/333278-post2.html Make sure to run the MS Windows Install Cleanup Utility - that's been a fix for people who have had probs when trying to install a new Java ![]() |

![]() Still unsuccessful. Am I missing anything when I use the CCleaner or Microsoft Install clean up? Every time I try to install java I get an error telling me its already on my system even though it is not in my add/remove programs or in the microsoft install clean up. Are there any specific files I should be looking for in ccleaner? |

![]() Try installing an older version of Java, rather than the latest update. Make sure to use the JRE offline installer. Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 16 Otherwise, try installing this older version of LW: LW basic 4.16.0.exe If that installs with no errors, then install the latest LW again (it will automatically remove the older version - you don't have to uninstall LW first). See whether that changes anything. |
