Hello, I'm very new to this site..
I have downloaded Limewire and trying to install. Have turned off all software
that wants to block this app.

While installing I GET THE FOLLOWING ERROR:
Can't write: C:\Program Files\Limewire\GenericWindowsUtils.dll
Abort - Retry - Ignore

No point in Ignoring, obviously the program needs this .dll to complete the installation.

Does anyone have any ideas to correct this?

Go here http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml & download the "Offline" version which is the 2nd on the list. Then install. I would also recommend installing Java 1st before you install LW; again, choose the "Offline" version of the Java installer: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp which is about 15 MB download size.

I tried the offline installer. Still the same problem.

I've asked a couple others for their opinion. (BTW your image shows a blank)

You could try the "other" version installer. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=63038 ie: just unzip & use. You'll need to have java installed before hand though.
