Do you all have the same modem/router you are running off, or do you have individual ones ??
Do you all use the the same ISP ?? ISP means who do you get your internet connection from, not what browser you use...
Have you configured Norton to allow limewire ??

I have limewire checke as an acceptable program on norton's list... We all have a little box attached to the wall that says D-link 10/100 fast ethernet switch

Can other people in the dorm connect to LW? Lots of schools & school accommodation block LW.

I am pretty sure i am connected...when i go to file in the limewire window there are three options...connect, disconnect and exit. The only ones i am able to actually click on are disconnect and exit, connect is shaded grey. I have clicked disconnect and then went back to file and clicked connect again and still nothing.

So you're not connected properly at all. That one bar means starting connection.
Can anybody else in the dorm connect to LW properly?
