Confused Trouble with free trial...

2 questions:

I downloaded basic... Then I gave cc info for free pro try. When I try to download pro I get message that I already have used a free trial of pro and it will not down load. I had a paid subscripton 7 or 8 years ago. I have my new pro activation number.

Basic does not work at all. I get no green bars. I am connected inside a motel. Is it possible they have you blocked?

No such thing as a Trial version for the Official LW. LW Basic is the Free version. LW Pro is a paid version. If LW Basic does not connect for you then LW Pro will probably not connect either. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html

As far as activating LW Pro, you will find the activation code on your personal LW Pro download page.

* EDIT: It appears LW does from time to time offer trials of LW Pro able to run as Pro over a short period of time.

Default I have the 7 day free trial

I have the 7 day free trial. All I get is "connecting". I took down my fire wall. I cleaned my cache. Anything else. This is my first time connecting.

Yes, follow the link I gave above. Go through all those steps, and if still no fix, post back your system details.

I have tried everything to get LW basic to download but it does not open stating need java runtime envrion 6 or better. I have downloaded java 32 bit & 64 bit offline rebooted, then downloaded LW off line but nothing works...if someone could plz help me. I have Win 7, oh by the way it was working perfectly up to a day ago just before I tried to upgrade. I also have manually removed both java and lw several times. I don't know what to do

It sounds like you used similar to this Reinstallation Technique. For Windows 7, you need to set both the Java & LW installers to Run as Administrator. If you didn't do that first, you can still do it after installing. Right-click the LW shortcut & choose Run as Admin. Likewise with Java.

Also, just very temporarily disable your computer security whilst installing. This might be related to why you were unable to install the online versions.

If still issues, change LW's compatibility mode. There's many options to try, so try each one; sample image here: sample image
