Gnotella (Windows) Gnotella has been discontinued. We highly recommend you use an actively developed client instead. |

![]() I just had a brainstorm reading this post; there could easily be a "MOTD" feature implemented, simply by harmlessly extending the Gnutella 0.4 protocol, just a little. Right now, when you connect to a host, you're either sending a Gnutella connection request, or a HTTP GET request. On the remote Gnotella machine, there could reside a MOTD text file, and when the local Gnotella machine connects to it, it could request the file with a simple protocol extension, like, "GNOTELLA MOTD\r\n" Other clients that don't support the feature would simply not respond to the request. What do you think? -Yytrium- |
