If media player refuses to play your songs automatically, you can browse your shared folder, which is by default C:\Program Files\LimeWire\Shared

Start from your empty desktop. Double click these icons in the following order:

My Computer
C:
Program Files
LimeWire
Shared

If it says it couldn't move the file to the library, look in the Incomplete folder, which is also in the LimeWire folder. You may need to rename it (F2 key), but you can safely cut and paste it to somewhere else.

Click

Start
Find
Files or Folders

Type in "shared", and look for a folder. Double click on the icon if it comes up in the search results.

Go to the search window you did earlier and this time look for "incomplete", and open for a folder. Your songs should be there, but they will be named something weird. Just double click on the icons and see what song plays.

Installing a new mp3 player will usually reassociate your files to the newly installed player. Many programs are better than Windows Media Player, but I recommend Winamp for the most positive listening experience.
