sorry it wasn't clear. My other half keeps moaning that I download too much, and he sees that counter that says how many files I'm sharing, and that just gives him more ammunition. I wondered if I could reset it, so that if he sees it, he'll think I'm not actually sharing too many and leave me alone!

If you right click on the bar that shows the number of shared files, and uncheck beside "Show Shared Files Count", it won't show how many files your sharing.

Then just tell him your not sharing any.
