Mac OSX Problems with installing LimeWire or WireShare for Mac OSX users

New to this and not sure it is working right. Launch will only play a preview, sometimes only a second or two. Only "option" available in Tools menu us "Statistics", no drop down of "Options" to get to player. This is in Mac OS X.2 Jaguar.
