Red face Mac OS X Limewire Install

When I download Limewire for OS X and try to install it, it says I have to have OS 10.2. It then says the latest Limewire for my system (10.1) is 4.8. It then asks me if I want to download 4.8 and even gives me a button to click to download it. When I click the button, it takes me back to the main Limewire 4.9 download page and the process starts all over again. How can I get Limewire 4.8 for OS 10.1???????? I'm losing my mind!! Please help!!!

Sorry if I hurt you, but why the hell are you limiting you on 10.1? 10.4 is like 3 times faster and less buggy on same hardware. Did I tell you the GUI was much better too?

10.1 was 2001. We are in 2005, get with the times....

Ciao

et voilà one of the good guys

And his advice is right. . . . even if it does hurt which he anticipated with his apology.

In fact, if you PM him, he could probably find a way to get you a 4.8.1(but I see hobo, another of the good 'uns, already made the offer).

21 yr old cars still can use the roads. Too bad the same can't really be said for 10.1

Hi Stief ... I've sent this out to a number of 10.1 users and they seem a pretty happy lot to me

Thanx guys, i didn't mean to get snotty that just really pissed me off. My main computer is new, i have an older one also that i still like to do things with. Thats why I was wanting LW 4.8 - it's not that I don't stay current on my computer stuff. I wouldn't be able to play HALO CUSTOM EDITION if I didn't. LOL

oh--jum builds are CVS versions adapted for OSX by Jens-Uwe Mager (see his credits on http://www.limewire.org/awards.shtml )

jum has generously made the latest cvs versions available, especially for people who don't compile the opensource limewire versions for themselves.

bookmark http://www.mager.org/LimeWire/LimeWire.html

very handy, and much appreciated.
