Using the junk filter helps a bit. Enter a ridiculous search term, like "frxd bla8 .tif" Select all the results that pop up and use the junk tool to mark them as junk. Repeat a few times to get the hang of using the junk tool.

You can also turn on the Connections view, and see the connected hosts. when I get too many junk results, I'll look at the connections and maybe use the "Remove" button to get rid of some that I might guess are the culprits.
