Default Stop Running Limewire on System Startup

HI , I'm sure this has been covered before but I can't find it on the 45 pages of threads. I have unchecked the "Run on System Startup" box and applied that rule but Limewire continues to start up with the Mac. I'm running OSX 10.4.11
2gig Ram & Limewire 4.14.8 Pro All I wish is that this app. would not open on startup as it also opens iTunes adding to the startup time.
I would appreciate help.

Check the OS X Apple Menu->System Preferences->Accounts->Login Items.

Perhaps LW got listed there too.

Thanks for that reply. Limewire is in the 'login items' but the box is not checked. I will try again by removing it completely but I don't hold out much hope.
Cheers.

just highlight the item and hit delete--the checkbox is for hiding on startup.

Cheers

Job's done. Worked like a charm. Thanks steif. This was my first effort at a forum and so far it would seem that I have a 100% success rate. Almost can't wait for my next problem! Thanks again.
