Mac Problems with installing LimeWire for Mac users, generally referring to OS 9 and earlier |

Limewire Pro install/file sharing options I just downloaded and installed the new Limewire Pro 2.5 on my PowerBook G4 with Mac OS 9.2, and I was curious which folders and files are being shared online. When the install utility asked me which files I might want to share and gave me the option of checking boxes for each folder of files, the list it created did not include the kinds of files I expected--they were all random folders of images (jpegs) on my hard drive, not things like my huge iTunes folder of mp3s. So I have no idea what was being shared, and the program doesn't let you see what's going out all over the Internet. I have NetBarrier installed for a firewall over my cable modem, but not sure if client or server function should be on for these purposes.... Thanks for your help. |
