downloaded 2.5.5 and does not work

i just down loaded the new version and no new version. ithe installition seems to go fine but when limewire opens up, it is still the old 2.4 version.
i used the alternate installer the 3rd time around of installation and sam problem.

any reasons why the new version won't show up???

i think it is sooo weird>
