Mac Problems with installing LimeWire for Mac users, generally referring to OS 9 and earlier

What you need to do is remove the install limewire.pkg file from your receipts folder; more about that here Downgrading to LimeWire 4 from 5 & resuming incomplete downloads with sub-link .. or direct link for receipts folder sample image here: Receipts folder sample image

After that you can install an older LW version.
