I checked out the Limewire stuff and its virtually all, as for as I know completely all advertisements. No kiddie porn, lolita or anything. Of course, I was doing research, like all the rest of us I guess. But, if no one looks, it's there without objection. So, look, do some "research" and let the IP or someone know what you found. It's not illegal to look, it is illegal to download...it's called 'manufacturing child pornography'.

It's certainly out there. If not wish to come across it of course using keyword filters goes a long way to blocking most out of search results. Keyword & extension filter words to Add also blocks out a certain % of the general spam, porn, etc. depending on how much you wish to filter out. :)

If child porn is out there, there is also obviously a demand for it, which is sad but a fact of life. O.o Trying to reduce the demand would help of course, however that can be done.

Kiddie

Yes. The US Supreme Court has addressed the matter saying, in effect, "We can't define porn, per se, but we know it when we see it". Though it is obvious to most people that something is child porn, a significant (statistically more than 10% but a percentage that is unknown) per centage of us would disagree. Hence, there are sites that 'poses' little girls (and boys too) up to pre-teen years in various states of skin (no nude) in provocative ways. And...it's legal. Society can crack down, but at what cost...Benjamin Franklin's quote about the balance of security and freedom has historically been correct. The more security, even for children who don't know what happening to them while they're in front of the camera, the less freedom. Some would argue, less freedom equates to less creativity and a chilling effect on art, including movies, paintings, sculptures and photography not intended to be provacative. I feel like such a blowhard and I don't intend to be, but I guess I have that freedom too...
