Scam!!!!

I just got a reply e-mail from them to fill out a refund form. They said the refund will be in my accound in 3 days. We'll see if that happens.

Way to go Lucy and after the 3 days make sure you e mail them at least 4 times a day asking for an update on your refund, dont forget to include the date. In case they pull the fast one of we didnt receive it in time.

I'm a lucky one

I got scammed by movieadvanced.com, luckily I only purchased a 1 year "subscription" for $19.99, AND paid by PayPal. I guess a tiny portion of my Id was still working in a dark corner, even as I succumbed to the primitive, greedy, lizard part of the brain.
Once I realized that I couldn't access anything beyond their new user login page, I did a search on them (Google) to see if anything negative started popping up. Eventually, I found this forum & thread, found out a lot.
I contacted PayPal about it, changed my password right away, and waited. That was last night. I just recieved an e-mail from PayPal that ClickBank has refunded my money.
BTW, I did do an initial search on them, but the pre-liminary search returns were all coming back positive. Live and Learn;)

scammed

thats the story of my life, maybe thats why I am so cautious now. Even as recent as 3 months ago, I purchased roxios easy DVD copy twice, one for me and the other for my son. Guess what...both expired after 30 days and all roxio do is ignore my emails and when i go through their tech site, they close the message. Finally bought the CD and loaded ok, never did get my money back or a reply, maybe getting hardened to the net cause I dont care either. I am just one of the millions who get screwed by the net and these fanciful ideas. probably wont be the last time either:rolleyes:
not registering for their tech support rather do without.

Scam

Just got an e-mail from Clkbank or something like that. My money has been refunded and should show up in my account in 3 days. I also reported them to every internet fraud site (10) I could find and the Federal Trade Commission.

after doing that, might as well just download a pirated/cracked version instead. hell, you paid for the license, and since their software F'ed up you wouldnt be violating any laws.

(btw, microsoft has acquired and now owns roxio (thats why windows now has a built in cd-burning app), so i highly recommend using nero) ;)

limewire might beable to sue them because they violate the GPL since these sites do not post where the source can be accessed.

(anyone who distributes a GPL'ed app, must give access to the full source code and it must be readily available and communicated to the end-user that this software is GPL'ed..) please correct me if im wrong.

Ok I am stupid

New User here, and I guess from reading the posts I guess I got ripped. I thought it was suppose to be a membership of around $30.00 and by the time I was done it was $52.63. So can anyone tell me if that is right or did someone scam me. I went to the correct website as you had listed in your previous post. And I thought I had 7 days to decide if I want to keep it or not. So how do you cancel if you want to. Its only been 3 days since I downloaded. Thanks to whoever can answer my questions.
