greetings koufax07

No I don't think the solution is easy. I had sonic (notice past tense). I had problems with the program burning correctly. I attempted over the course of a month working with DELL & Sonic Tech support. Never did resolve the issue. I still have the software around here somewhere collecting dust. After getting nowhere with them. I switched to nero ultra and roxio. I mainly use nero now, but what nero can't handle roxio does.

Best of luck trying to resolve your problem. My issue was that sonic would never correctly recognize my DVD+RW DL, The problem was with the driver for the DVD+RW DL. When I switched software the problem went away.

Well my " sonic now" records fast and is absolutely fanatastic...I also read where Roxio is also used w/this program...

The only problem is trying to play these on my tv dvd...I'm sure everyone is familiar w/this problem I'm having...

Anyway...I may try different discs based on what my friend's buddy tells me he used....

I use Teon DVD+R now. Got some on special somewhere. They allow me to burn at 12X. Only difference I saw than with the other brands I used is Teon uses version 1.2. I don't know what the difference is in versions, but there must be something.

BTW I wouldn't recommend burning at the max speed, as this may lead to problems within itself.

Best of luck. I look forward to seeing what the resolution of this problem is. It will probably help many others.

Well as in my previous correspondence , thanks to LOTR, ...I reduced my speed in order to get the movies to fit the disc....

plus the clarity was much better...

so this has been done...

I have already read every thread in this discussion on this and we are getting nowhere as a group...

plod on...

Well Fabion...you are the first one to actually explain how much trouble it is too put them on dvd to show on your tv/dvd player

it's not worth it unless there is an easier way...

I will pursue getting a big monitor to run them from the pc....

I will continue to monitor any progress on these threads about this matter...

Go New England Patriots!!!!!
