question, once i download a movie is there a way to burn it to cd? I have quicktime does that allow u to burn?

Yes, you can burn movies. But only to DVD's. Dont think quicktime lets you, but Nero and DVDSanta do. You gotta pay to use them though.

correct. if you put it as a data file you could only watch it on a computer.

Some people here in the forum advise to use DVD Santa:

I personally use Nero to burn my CD's/DVD's.

You would be surprise to see what even some on the cheapest DVD-players can play.

My sister took some of my burned DVD data copies to an electronics store and bought a DVD-player that can play most of the regular formats you get from Limewire for little over $100. And since things are expensive in the Faroes you would probably get it for less in other countries

So you can watch videos on a DVD player of different formats and on a CD?

Don't know about data-cd's. I always burn data-DVD's. It plays VCD and SVCD for sure. I said so on the box

She tried DivX 5.2. XviD with and without AC3 audio and MPEG video. They all worked flawlessly
