There's NO official lifetime membership ie if you buy Pro from the official site. Some scam sites do offer a 'lifetime membership'.
You don't have to update an official version either, the purchaser can use the version(s) they've bought for as long as they like.
Updating isn't going to prevent viruses...it's up to the user to make sure they're scanning files after download with their AV & to be aware of what file types are easily infected, whether file size looks correct etc & learn what to avoid

Charging for Limewire is illegal. It's open source software. If you paid for it, you should try to get your money back.

For the time being, however, just google XXXXXXXXXX. You'll get dozens of sites that offer a completely legal, legit, full copy of limewire.

You shouldn't encourage people to google for Pro...people end up with all sorts of malware & versions that are stuffed.

If they want a copy of Pro, they can buy a clean version from the official site
www.limewire.com
If they don't want to pay for Pro, there's always the free basic version.
It is NOT illegal to charge for Pro.

Alright, let me re-phrase. It's "immoral".
Under the GPL, you can charge for software. However, anybody that pays for it can then redistribute it free of charge.
Charging for it here when it is legally available for free all over the internet is kind of stupid if you ask me.

Google your hearts out folks. Your just wastin money otherwise

Do NOT google for Pro...you don't know what you're getting.

It's the public's choice whether they pay for Pro (from the official site, of course). It's a measly amount to pay for a good app & supports the future development of LW.
