i havent reistalled just trying some dowload after bitzi check and uninstalled quick time i still have media player and power dvd off dvd package and nero also why do i still have the traffic cone from vlc on all downloads in lime wire sorry to be pest thanks loads tony

I haven't used VLC, so I can't help with that. I also would advise using Bitzi...it sounds like you're just getting fake files. Here's a few links that may help:

The reason for seeing the traffic cones is that you have VLC as your default media player...VLC is one of the best, so I recommend you keep it..
I would definatley run another spyware and AV scan just to be sure, there are a list of good free online ones you can try (listed in the sticky)...Try to avoid wmv and mov files from now on..
What you should know about WMA and WMV Files
Have a look at this sticky as it has a lot of info on what to stay away from and as the guys suggested always use Bitzi, at least until you get the hang of things...
