Question library Transfer Problem..pls help!

hi everyone.. i'm quite new on here.

I have a biig problem. My hardrive messed up and i lost all my songs including the ones i had on limewire. (i share limewire& itunes) However, i still have them on itunes but i have been struggling in transfering them to limewire..does anyone know how? pls help!
itunes only seems to have the option of doing so by backing it up on a disc. I've tried this but for some reason its only able to write about 7 songs which i'm not keen on anyway..its unable to copy the whole library for some reason?? i want to CRY..i have like 2 years worth of great songs on there and i just want to get them back on limewire/my hardrive without having to download them again.

Someone plz rescue me ::crying::

The list in itunes is probably just a playlist and not the actual file. So transfering them from itunes to LW isn't going to work. Try searching you hdd for the files. The default location is C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Shared.

If you can't find them, you'll need a file recovery program to try to get them back. See: DELETING FILES FROM LIMEWIRE LIBRARY-DON"T! - File recovery advice!. If that doesn't work, then you'll have to redownload them .

Hi stylie, something else you might consider and this is just a suggestion, is what I have done. Went out and bought an inexpensive 60Gb external HDD for about 60.00. I use a back up program that once you have done the first initial back up of your whole system, all the other back ups that you do are incremental meaning it will only back up what has been added since the last back up. Another nice feature is the HDD is portable so you can shut it down and unplug the USB cable and take your whole system with you. Its about the size of a scientific calculator. Will fit in a shirt pocket.
