![]() Thanks for taking the time to read my post, UK Bob. I bought the app from the proper place, and indeed have recently downloaded and installed an update. I don't see why I am doing everything the wrong way round. Your reply in a way backs me up. When I buy software, why should I have to do research and ask questions to solve problems with it? I pay my money so I don't have to do that. Expected with freeware, yes. Out of order when I have paid for it. I should be able to go to the person I gave the money to and say "sort this out". Instead, I have to use something that, in your words, has been compiled and provided by one of the forum members as a free service to LW users. Further to all that, I can't see any discernable benefit of the pro version compared to the free one. It has all left a sour taste. Finally, you are right. I am intelligent. I didn't mean to make it obvious though! ![]() |

![]() ermmm...don't know about anybody else here, but I stay fully clothed when working on my computer! as far as this subject, specifically the concept of a hostiles.txt file...well, think about it...and think about how p2p is even able to 'legally' operate...the inclusion of such a list would just give the MPAA/RIAA more ammunition in their protests... I've found PeerGuardian to be a far better and less cpu intensive solution to blocking known dillholes (can anybody say Macrovision?)...of course blocking is relative, they can still DDOS the hell out of you....
