Hi kisa,
Did you uninstall thru add/remove programs? That can cause problems. The right way to uninstall is via start > all programs > limewire > use the uninstall option there.
Close LW & make sure it's properly closed...check in task manager (ctrl/alt/del). If there's a LW process running, end the process. Now uninstall LW. After that, use your computer's search to look for all files & folders with limewire in the name & delete what you find.
Your Java version's a bit old, try updating it to this version. Download the JRE offline installer & remove any other Java versions (via add/remove progs) before you install this one. Archive: Download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11
Once that's done, reinstall LW & make sure to use the offline installer (when you click to download LW, cancel the dialog box that pops up & you'll see the option to download the offline installer). |
