![]() Hi, I'm a Newb at Limewire and file sharing generally. I have done a few things successfully, but have hit a hitch and hoped someone could explain what simple thing I am doing wrong. My question is - how do I play *********DVDRip.Xvid.avi you know, if in theory I had it, and if hypothetically Windows Media and Quick time wouldn't play it. Is it a codec thing? I'm stuffed. Sorry if this is an annoying question, or if I shouldn't be asking it here etc. Like I said - big Newb over here. __________________________________________________ Edited to comply with the House Rules. ![]() Check the file with Bitzi before download...if it's not out in DVD yet (still in cinemas here & not out on DVD until March) then you might have downloaded a misnamed/junk file ![]() How to use Bitzi If the file is genuine, check the thread below for links to codec packs & VLC player (free) which has codecs installed to play most file types. CODECs list for Movies /Alternate players / Video help forums Make sure to scan all files that you download with your updated AV, before opening them. Thanks. It was a junk file. The link to LOTR's explanation thread was massively helpful - even I could follow and implement it. You're a legend Birdy. |
