Download issues

I am not sure if this is going to help but why is it that when I am looking for something to download all I get is useless downloads or porn. Isn't someone at limewire looking into this or are we just left to fend for ourselves. Keep in mind that I purchased the pro with promises of faster downloads and better search results but that hasn't happened at all.

Any suggestions offered are greatly appreciated.

I have gone ahead and tried your suggestion but now I don't get any porn links but all I seem to get is several links to the name of the artist that I am looking for - It just seems that Limewire Pro is just a waste of money. The searches aren't any better, most of the stuff I am looking for is not here and whatever is available are just plain viruses.

I am trying to find the purpose of the service and I can't seem to find one. I am just giving on this and will just go ahead and file a claim with my credit card company so I can get my money back.

How do I get my money back from this company that claims that they are offering a good product but in reality it isn't a good product. I am starting to think it's a fraud.

It's normally best to try the free version before getting Pro, to see if you like it & if any problems. Did you try LW 4? On your Pro download page on left side is a link to Classic versions. Click on it & try LW 4.18 You might get better results.

Limewire Pro does improve search results and allows for faster downloads. However, if you're downloading from someone with limited bandwidth, there is nothing LW can do to make them faster.

All p-p programs have the same issue; they cannot control what another peer wants to share, even if it is copyrighted, misnamed, and contains trojans or child porn. You can give any name to a file and share it on the network. This freedom to share comes at the price of having to defend ourselves from uncontrolled content. Hence, we recommend using LW's filter along with PeerGuardian and Bitzi.

There are commercial services that guarantee safe and fast downloads of whatever you want. They tend to cost much more than LW Pro.
