hi i bought a brand new laptop recently and tried to download the new basic limewire...however as i go through the install procedure...the message "an older version of limewire has been detected on your computer please exit this before installation" but as its a new computer limewire is not there and i have searched the computer and on the control panel just to make sure !! can anyone help me ?

Try this Reinstallation Technique with also deleting your LW preferences folder if there is one.
