How do you uninstall LimeWire? I thought I did...Then I went to install it again, and it keeps saying 'an older version of LimeWire appears to be running. You must exit the old version before continuing with installation. Once you have exited LimeWire, click retry'
How do I exit LimeWire? |

Go to Start/Control Panel/Add Remove Programs/LimeWire click on it uninstall it.
If that fails co to Start/My Computer/C:/Program Files/LimeWire look in the folder for the uninstall click on it. If that fails go to Start/My Computer/C:/Program Files/LimeWire and delete the folder |

I have the same problem as the person above, and I've tried all three of the methods mentioned above. But I can't even delete the folder because apparently some other program is using the files. However, when I hit Control+Alt+Delete, the Task Manager window doesn't come up, so I can't see what programs are running. Reinstalling doesn't work either. Anyone got another suggestion?
