HELP!! ad killer

Hi I got a program for a while ago that killed all ad when I surf the net, I lost it. It had a green triangle. I sold my old computer and fogot to copy in in to the "new" computer. Please tell me where I can download it, again. It's not Ad-Aware!!
Thanks

Blocking ads is akin to stealing. Most sites support themselves through banner ads. By blocking those ads, you're freeloading their content and leeching their server resources and bandwidth.

... and animated banners and popus are anoying and a terrible unfriendly slap in the face of fair users. PS: I think Promoxitron is the name of the app.

If you buy a newspaper, you don't have to look at the ads, but the advertisers still pay for them. When you block banner ads, advertisers don't pay for them. Your analogy doesn't work.

I have no interest in developing a client; I run web sites. By blocking the ads on these web sites, you're freeloading content and consuming server resources and bandwidth. If you don't understand this simple concept, then maybe you should get a life.

Hello!

Well it seems that all the fuzz in this thread is originating from a misconception between RealBigSwede and CycloCide the system administrator.

Personally I think it is Okay to block Pop Up adds on sites that uses them especially multiple Pop Ups are hated.Pop Up adds must be the single most hated phenomena on the Internet it is close to user terrorism and they do not do no one any good. Not the users that will get very slow surf speeds and alot of irritating windows to close and not the companys that uses them because the users(visitors) hates them they will get irritated towards the companys that uses them so their brand name will suffer from it.Conclusion no one benefits from them they are just harmfull and I have a hard time believing that CycloCide actually likes them so I thinks that it is OK to block those *******s(Pop Up's).

What I do not think is Ok is to block Banner adds. The reason is because they are not as harmfull nor irritating as Pop Ups and yeat they are the ones that pay us visitors. The payment is the ability for us visitors to freely(for free) visit for instance a newspapers web site.If many users start to block those adds then the willingness amongst advertisers to pay for advertisment severly diminishes and we the users will suffer from it because alot more sites would start to charge us money instead and I and most others do not want that. These are the types of Adds that I think CycloCide are reffering to when he states that he do not like add aware software. But I do not think that he has anything against blocking of Pop Up's surely he must hate them just as anyone else does.
