Use your burning software (Nero, WinOnCd etc.).

Will I only need to install the first program on the page you just posted? The others just seem to be adding subtitles.

Hmm... I didnīt know...

Here are more codecs:

Number 4 should be enough, if not look which codecs are missing and add them.

Or do mean this link?

I can us a DVD player to play a movie from a DVD that I have rented. I connect the DVD player to a Formac TVR and the TVR is connected to my G5. I play the movie and record it to my hard drive. It is recorded to my hard drive in a DV format.

Now I can play the movie back using QT and watch it on my computer monitor. I can also play the movie and record it to a VCR.

How can I record the movie to CD's using my Superdrive in my computer?

Or how can I record the movie to DVD's using my Superdrive in my computer?

What is a Superdrive? Do you mean your harddisk?

For recording movies on a DVD you need a DVD burner!

A SuperDrive is an internal all in one DVD/CD reader-burner, for the non-Mac advisors here.

To make VCDs you need to convert the DVD file to the required format. I am speaking from theory here not having done it myself.

Try the following it seems to be recommended by most people who are doing it:

As a personal note, there is only a certain level at which this is worth the trouble. Consider how much you are paying for your bandwidth, how long the DL takes (the files are large), even if it is successful, the uncertainty of the quality (much of it quite bad), the time it takes to convert and burn files to the CDs (most of a day) to get a really second rate copy of a DVD you can buy for a few dollars.

Music is a different matter. the files are small, quick to download, mostly good quality and useful as they stand without conversion.

I've made a note to return to movies when the technology actually makes the results worth while. Apple is working on a movie successor to the iPod.

Maybe then s:-)
