limewire automatically starts after closing

if this thread has already been posted elsewhere, appreciate if someone could steer me in the right direction! if not here goes.

every time i close limewire basic, it will restart automatically within a minute or so. this has bothered me to the point that I have uninstalled the program but then i get these error messages saying that other parts of the program are trying to access info etc. limewire has taken over my pc

could someone please tell me how i can either stop limewire basic starting all the time or how to completely wipe limewire off my pc.

Always make sure that you're using a good AV program. Keep it updated & scan files that you've downloaded before opening.

for anyone else experiencing the aggrevating issue of limewire selfstarting continuously, the above link and subsequent instructions I'm happy to say work a treat.
