It may also depend on quality of file you downloaded. Many people share video files that are really only VCD or SVCD format & thus have been reduced dramatically in quality from the original. In some cases no matter which program you choose to convert the files for burning, the original file quality has dropped so much quality it's only going to drop a little more during the conversion & burn process.
