![]() I'm afraid to download Limewire again due to virus' picked up recently. This lead me to clean up my computer and reinstall back to original hardware. I'm wondering if AOL's virus software is adequate in stopping this from happening. Any info on this subject? I sure do Miss my connection with Limewire! |

![]() Which AV does AOL use? AFAIK it used to be Active Virus Sheild but now it seems to be McAfee Virus Scan... is that right? There are infected files being shared on the network all the time. LW can't control what's being shared, because you download files from other peoples computers rather than from a server ![]() You need to make sure that you keep your AV program updated. And use it to scan all files that you download, before you open the files! Check the links below for info about viruses & spam to avoid & the last link has more links to freeware AV & anti malware programs. * WARNING: Viruses on network you should be aware of ! * Virus thread: Typical virus spam file sizes - Make a note of them (click on blue link to see) http://www.gnutellaforums.com/330543-post11.html |
